Only to scrape Reddit (which requires reaching reddit.com). The app itself is offline-first — no telemetry, no cloud sync, no account. Your leads are stored locally in a SQLite database on your own disk.
This is a known false positive. Argus v1.0.0 scores 2/71 on VirusTotal — both detections are from notoriously aggressive ML-based engines (Arctic Wolf, SecureAge) that flag any new unsigned executable. The other 69 vendors return clean. The app has no malware, no telemetry, and no network calls except to reddit.com during scraping. Code signing is on the roadmap for v1.1.
